Privacy Policy

First Morsel helps parents and caregivers plan their baby's solid foods. This policy explains, in plain terms, what we collect during the private beta, why, and your choices. The data you enter is about your child, entered by you as the parent/caregiver — we treat it with care.

1. What we collect — Your account: your email address (sign-in via one-time code + beta contact). Your baby's profile (you provide): name/nickname, date of birth and any prematurity, dietary preference (non-veg / veg+egg / pure-veg / Jain), meat preferences, feeding approach, health-related details you choose to enter (diagnosed allergies, eczema, food reactions), and foods/spices tried. Your usage: foods marked tried, meals marked loved/ate/refused, swaps, grocery selections. Waitlist (if joined from our website): email only. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics/tracking SDKs, and we do not sell your data.

2. Why we use it — Solely to provide the service to you: to generate and personalise your baby's feeding plan (especially to keep it safe — honouring allergies, reactions and dietary needs), to save your progress across devices, and to communicate about the beta. Not for advertising or profiling your child.

3. Children's data — The information is about a child, provided and consented to by you, the parent/caregiver. You confirm you are the child's parent/guardian (or have their authority). Consistent with India's DPDP framework, we do not carry out behavioural tracking or targeted advertising directed at children, and use the child's data only to deliver the service to you. (At public launch we will add a verifiable parental-consent step and a named Grievance Officer.)

4. Who we share it with (processors) — Trusted infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf, only to run the service: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage — hosted in the India (Mumbai) region); Vercel (application hosting/delivery). No one else, never for their own marketing.

5. Where it's stored & security — Stored in Supabase's India region. Access is restricted per-user (row-level security), data encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure; we take reasonable measures appropriate to a small beta.

6. Keeping & deleting your data — We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your data or account at any time — from in-app account settings, or by emailing support@firstmorsel.in. We delete account data promptly (minimal backup records expire shortly after). Beta data may also be reset as the product changes (notice where practical).

7. Your choices — Access, correct, export or delete your data, or withdraw from the beta, from account settings or via support@firstmorsel.in.

8. Beta status — Private beta; features and data handling may change. We'll update this policy and note the effective date.
